Shade Sails Warranty

Shade sails warranty exploring why its important to take care of your shade sail

Our shade sails warranty covers you for both workmanship and fabric performance when the sails are used and installed correctly.

What’s covered

  • 12-month warranty from the date of purchase for defects caused by faulty materials or workmanship.

  • 15-year UV degradation warranty on the shade cloth for both standard and custom shade sails.

This applies when the sails are used under normal conditions and for their intended purpose.

What’s not covered

We can’t warranty damage caused by:

  • Incorrect or unsafe installation

  • Improper handling

  • Leaving sails up in snow or severe wind (unless your project has been specifically engineered for permanent summer installation)

  • Contact with heat sources or sharp objects

You’re also responsible for any required engineering, building, or installation permits at your site.

Care and seasonal use

To protect your sails and keep the warranty in good standing:

  • Take sails down in the fall in snow-load areas.

  • Make sure they are clean, dry, and neatly folded before storage in a dry place.

  • In spring, refly them nice and taut to avoid wind damage and pooling water.

If you suspect a warranty issue, please contact Shade Sails Canada in writing as soon as you notice a problem.
